BSEE Director James Watson met with students, faculty and university staff from Texas Southern University's (TSU) College of Science and Technology in Houston, Texas. While at TSU, Director Watson discussed the benefits of public service and the importance and challenge of continuing to improve offshore safety in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon tragedy. Director Watson's visit is a continuation of BSEE's effort to recruit and retain a highly skilled, diverse, and talented workforce. BSEE was formally established on October 1, 2011 and is currently recruiting to increase the bureau's offshore safety enforcement program.
