The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) today issued an Information to Lessees (ITL) to notify all lease holders and operators of oil and gas operations offshore that BSEE recognizes the Center for Offshore Safety as an Accreditation Body for the purposes of qualifying Audit Service Providers. BSEE will continue to accept, and will continue to encourage, applications from other organizations who are interested in providing accreditation services under the Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) regulations.
