The National Offshore Training Center (NOTC) provides a comprehensive, multi-tiered, student-centered curriculum for our technically diverse staff in support of BSEE’s mission to promote safety, protect the environment, and to conserve resources offshore through vigorously regulatory oversight and enforcement.

Our Mission

The NOTC’s mission is to strengthen through learning. This is accomplished through a program that provides structured training opportunities that integrate the latest technical expertise and practices of industry with prudent and rigorous safety and compliance mandates.

The NOTC offers over 80 technical training courses taught by renowned subject matter experts to ensure continued education and development that enhances professional competence and personal satisfaction for all our technical program offices.

Inspectors are government employees and perform inspections of oil and gas facilities in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). As BSEE continues to grow, openings occur often; please check here.

No, not at this time. The technical training offered by BSEE is specific to BSEE employees, however, a BSEE employee may participate in a public class offered by a 3rd party vendor.

No, however, some of the training offered does provide continuing education credit.
