Today, BSEE participated in the Offshore Technology Conference's Energy Education Institute. BSEE staff met with Houston-area classroom teachers to discuss offshore safety. In addition, the BSEE booth was a destination for students attending the conference as part of the high school student STEM Event. Each year approximately 200 high school math and science students see firsthand the exciting opportunities in offshore oil and gas. Students participate in hands-on energy exploration experiments provided by the U.S. National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project, meet government and industry professionals, and tour the latest state-of-the-art technology exhibits in a scavenger hunt.
