Today, Director Salerno is traveling from the Offshore Technology Conference to the Hoover Diana offshore facility in the Gulf of Mexico. While offshore, Director Salerno will be joined by Gulf of Mexico Region Director Lars Herbst and Deputy Region Supervisor Troy Trosclair. The group will tour the facility which is a steel cylindrical hull that floats vertically and is almost one-half a football field in diameter and 75 stories tall with drilling and production facilities installed. Officials from Exxon, the facility operator, will be on site during Director Salerno's visit today.
