Arctic Exploration - Burger J Well Data - 2015

In 2015 Shell Oil Company drilled the Burger J well in the Chukchi Sea.  The well was drilled to a depth of 6,800 feet from a semisubmersible mobile offshore drilling unit operating in 149 feet of water.  Shell was required to submit all geological and geophysical data obtained during the drilling of the well to the BSEE Alaska Region office.  Shell has subsequently relinquished the lease on which the well was drilled, making the data available for public release (30 CFR 250.197).
